36. Penuel⁴ BARTON (Ebenezer³, William², Edward¹) was born in Newbury, Essex, MA September 1712.⁽²²⁾

He married Mary BURNELL October 13, 1736 in Falmouth, Cumberland, ME.⁽²³⁾ Mary was born in North Yarmouth, ME. Mary was the daughter of Robert BURNELL and Patience MILLS. Peneul was on of many who owed debts to the estate of Phinehas Jones of York county in January of 1743.

Penuel BARTON and Mary BURNELL had the following children:

+ 65 i. Robert⁵ BARTON was born about 1738.

+ 66 ii. Patience BARTON was born about 1741.

67 iii. Deliverance BARTON was born in North Yarmouth, ME about 1742.⁽²⁴⁾ She married Stephen SAWYER 16 July 1761 in Falmouth, Cumberland, ME.

+ 68 iv. James BARTON was born about 1744.

69 v. Mary BARTON was born in North Yarmouth, ME about 1746. She was baptized 1746 in North Yarmouth, ME.

70 vi. Child BARTON was born in North Yarmouth, ME about 1748.

+ 71 vii. Isaac BARTON was born 28 April 1756.

72 viii. William BARTON was born in North Yarmouth, ME about 1760.⁽²⁵⁾ He was baptized 5 August 1760 in North Yarmouth, ME.
