9. John³ BARTON (William², Edward¹)⁽⁷⁾ birth date unknown. John died 25 December 1724 in Newbury, Essex, MA.⁽⁸⁾

He married WIFE OF JOHN BARTON. She was born about 1678. (Additional notes for WIFE OF JOHN BARTON⁽⁹⁾) She died 26 July 1755 at 77 years of age. This may be "Elizabeth" Barton wife of John who is buried in the Caswell Lot in York, ME. The stone says she died 26 July 1775 aged 77. This lot is on the west side of Shore Road south of the Cape Nedick river in the rear of the 2nd house south.

John was employed at as a Fisherman. John was of Cape Porpoise and York, ME and had three children. On 10 December 1720 he deeded to John Downing 1/4 part of the falls and 2 acres of land in Arundell/Cape Porpoise. The deathplace of newbury needs to be confirmed.
