He married Sarah Eliza NEWCOMB 17 October 1842. Sarah was born 3 July 1817 in Bridgewater, NY. Sarah was the daughter of Orson NEWCOMB and Sylvia CONNABLE.

Jonathan Barton SATTERLEE and Sarah Eliza NEWCOMB had the following children:

child 2505 i. Orson Newcomb9 SATTERLEE was born 4 September 1843. Orson died 9 February 1844 in Portage, NY, at less than one year of age.

child 2506 ii. Daniel Orson Newcomb SATTERLEE was born 19 February 1845. Daniel died 19 May 1855 in Nunda, Livingston, NY, at 10 years of age.

child 2507 iii. Mark Eugene SATTERLEE was born 21 October 1847. Mark was in the boot and shoe business in Hornellsville, NY.

child 2508 iv. John Barton SATTERLEE was born in Nunda, Livingston, NY 8 December 1849. He married Jennie DAVIS 25 December 1872.

child 2509 v. Francis Marion SATTERLEE was born 14 February 1851.
