She married Fred Frank STERN 25 November 1942. Fred was born 21 October 1908. Fred was the son of George STERN and Katherine SCHNEIDER. Fred died 27 April 2011 in Aberdeen, Brown, SD, at 102 years of age.

Opal Mae BARTON and Fred Frank STERN had the following children:

+ 6005 i. Janice Marie¹² STERN (still alive).

+ 6006 ii. Wanda Lee STERN (still alive).

6007 iii. Mardythe Jean STERN was born 25 June 1949. Mardythe died 2 July 1949 at less than one year of age.

6009 v. Randy Dean STERN (still alive).
