He married Asenath Utley GRIGGS 6 December 1871. Asenath was born 17 June 1842 in Chaplin, Windham, CT. Asenath was the daughter of Daniel Ashley GRIGGS and Asenath UTLEY. Asenath died 8 June 1903 in Danvers, Essex, MA, at 60 years of age.
