4060. Cyrus Virtue¹⁰ BARTON (Cyrus Altheus⁹, Thomas Massie⁸, Ozias Preston⁷, Alpheus⁶, Timothy⁵, Joshua⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹)⁽²³⁶⁷⁾ was born in Galesburg, Knox, IL 23 February 1901. Cyrus died 1 May 1989 in Lansing, Cook, IL, at 88 years of age.

He married Ruth Esterher OSBORNE 27 January 1923. Ruth was born 27 December 1903 in KS. Ruth died 1 October 2000 in Munster, Lake, IN, at 96 years of age.

Cyrus was listed as the head of a household on the 1930 census in Lansing, Cook, IL. The following individuals are also linked to this event: Doris Mae BARTON (daughter); Shirley Zala BARTON (daughter); Ruth Esterher OSBORNE (wife). The Information on descendants of Cyrus came mostly from Shirley Chepon and we are grateful for it. In the 1920 census Cyrus goes by his middle name and was a laborer in a brickyard living at home with his father. In 1930 he is enumerated as Cyrus and is a brickmaker
