He married Alice About 1893. Alice was born April 1869 in MA.

Nelson was listed as the head of a family on the 1900 Census in West Springfield, Hampden, MA. Nelson seemed to have been in the real estate and auction business. A reader wrote that he had a small brass clipboard listing those occupations and an address of 132 Broadway in Springfield.

Nelson Lewis ELMER and Alice had the following children:
