2842. Claude Leon⁹ BARTON (Levi Lorenzo⁸, Lorenzo⁷, Nathan⁶, Nathan⁵, Joshua⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Circleville, Piute, UT 10 September 1900.⁽²⁰³³⁾ Claude died 28 December 1950 at 50 years of age.

He married Elizabeth MECHAM 26 May 1920 in Tropic, Garfield, UT. Elizabeth was the daughter of George Henry MECHAM and Nancy OTT. Claude learned farming from his father and always had a nice team of horses even while adapting modern technology to his farm. He bought a portion of his fathers farm in Lossee Valley. He made his livelyhood working construction and road maintenance for Garfield County. He and wife Elizabeth had seven children.

Claude Leon BARTON and Elizabeth MECHAM had the following children:

4260 i. Leon C.¹⁰ BARTON was born in UT 1921. Leon died 15 January 1945 in Belgium, at 23 years of age.

4261 ii. Florence BARTON (living status unknown).

4262 iii. Delyle BARTON (living status unknown).
