546. William⁷ BARTON (Alpheus⁶, Timothy⁵, Joshua⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born April 1797.⁽⁶⁹⁷⁾ William died 22 July 1881 in Prairieville, Brown, MN, at 84 years of age.⁽⁶⁹⁸⁾

He married Lucinda BURTON. Lucinda was born 18 July 1805 in Rodham, Jefferson, NY. Lucinda was the daughter of John BURTON and Betsey DANIELS. Lucinda died 25 August 1876 in Prarieville, Brown, MN, at 71 years of age.

William was listed as a father in Jeremiah Finney BARTON's household on the 1880 Census in Prarieville, Brown, MN. The following individuals are also linked to this event: Cora L. BARTON (daughter); Clark A. BARTON (son); Fred D. BARTON (son); Lydia Maria PARKS (wife). It looks as though William and Lcinda spent some time near Rodman in Jefferson county New York. Their first daughter, Laura, is buried in the Gulf Stream Cemetery there.

William BARTON and Lucinda BURTON had the following children:

1316 i. Laura J.⁸ BARTON was born in Rodham, Jefferson, NY 06 May 1822.⁽⁶⁹⁹⁾ Laura died 13 May 1838 in Rodham, Jefferson, NY, at 16 years of age.

+ 1317 ii. Jeremiah Finney BARTON was born 07 October 1831.

1318 iii. Mary E. BARTON was born 1840.

1319 iv. Charles E. BARTON was born 1844. Charles died 1865 at 21 years of age.
