He married Nancy EMERY 15 DEC 1815 in Poland, Cumberland, ME. Nancy was born 30 OCT 1789 in New Gloucester, Cumberland, ME. Nancy was the daughter of Mark EMERY and Anna MEQUIER. Nancy died 2 FEB 1866 in Poland, Cumberland, ME, at 76 years of age.

William BARTON and Nancy EMERY had the following children:

390 i. William⁷ BARTON was born in Poland, Cumberland, ME 10 July 1818. William died 27 September 1910 in Boston, Suffolk, MA, at 92 years of age.

393 iv. Zachariah Leach BARTON was born in Poland, Cumberland, ME 26 July 1836. Zachariah died 15 February 1877 in Boston, Suffolk, MA, at 40 years of age.⁽²⁰⁴⁾ He married Esmiralda RICHARDS 24 November 1864 in Medford, MA.⁽²⁰⁵⁾ Esmiralda was born 24 October 1842 in Medford, MA. Esmiralda was the daughter of Davis RICHARDS and Thankful WIFE OF DAVIS RICHARDS. Esmiralda died 31 January 1876 in Boston, Suffolk, MA, at 33 years of age.

Zachariah was listed as the head of a family on the 1870 Census in Boston, Suffolk, MA. The following individual is also linked to this event: Esmiralda RICHARDS (household member). At his marriage he is called a housewright and in the census is a carpenter.
