He married twice. He married Margaret MARSTON January 15, 1807 in Epsom, Merrimack, NH. Margaret was born about 1780 in Pittsfield, Merrimack, NH. Margaret was the daughter of Eliphelet MARSTON and Sarah BARTON. He married Sarah NICHOLS 21 October 1815 in Epsom, Merrimack, NH. Sarah was born circa 1790.

Charles was employed. Charles was listed as the head of a family on the 1810 Census in Pittsfield, NH. The following individual is also linked to this event: Margaret MARSTON (free wh female 16-26). Charles was listed as the head of a family on the 1830 Census in Hopkinton, Merrimack, NH. Charles was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census in Ross, Lake, IN. Charles was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census in Ross, Lake, IN. Charles was listed as the head of a family on the 1870 Census in Ross, Lake, IN. Charles was a Methodist minister. The 1810 census indicates that he had two daughters under 10 at the time. There is a record in the Goffstown VR of Charles marriage to Sarah in 1815 saying they were both of Weare. This contradicts the Epsom records.
