He married Sarah Sherman LUMBARD September 7, 1847. Sarah was born April 10, 1826. Sarah died July 3, 1910 in Kankakee, Kankakee, IL, at 84 years of age.

William was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census in Marshall, Oneida, NY.
