1532. David Wardwell⁸ BARTON (Eliphaz Breed⁷, David⁶, David⁵, Elisha (Elijah)⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Marshall, Oneida, NY May 1, 1835. David died December 25, 1917 in Clifton Springs, NY, at 82 years of age.

He married Mary Ann OLIVER November 3, 1861. Mary was born October 2, 1837 in NY. Mary died February 15, 1897 at 59 years of age.

David was listed as the head of a family on the 1880 Census in Marshall, Oneida, NY. The following individuals are also linked to this event: Evaline BARTON (daughter); Mary Ann OLIVER (wife). David was a farmer growing seeds for the New York and Philadelphia markets and later in life was engaged in a commercial fertilizing business in Oneida county.

2967 iii. Clara E. BARTON was born August 1, 1866. Clara died July 31, 1871 at 4 years of age.

2968 iv. Walter D. BARTON was born November 30, 1873. Walter died September 6, 1876 at 2 years of age.
