He married twice. He married Mary STEPHENSON. He married Elvira Fuller DUTTON 27 June 1867 in Washington, IL. Elvira was born 18 April 1835 in Stowe, VT. Elvira was the daughter of Marvin DUTTON and Eunice HAZEN. Elvira died 1 December 1894 in Red Oak, Montgomery, IA, at 59 years of age.
