He married twice. He married Emma DREW 24 August 1870 in Boston, Suffolk, MA.⁽¹⁷⁰¹⁾ Emma was born about 1845 in Boston, Suffolk, MA. Emma was the daughter of Elijah DREW and Lydia. Emma died 24 November 1886 in Newton, Middlesex, MA, at 41 years of age.⁽¹⁷⁰²⁾ He married Frances Ellen KENDALL 12 September 1899 in Boston, Suffolk, MA.⁽¹⁷⁰³⁾ Frances was born August 1860 in Brunswick, ME. Frances was the daughter of William KENDALL. Frances died 1929 at 68 years of age. Her body was interred in Bowdoinham, Sagadahoc, ME.

Charles was listed as the head of a family on the 1900 Census in Framingham, Middlesex, MA. Charles was a lawyer in Boston when edith was born. The marriage to Frances Kendall is called his 3rd.
