2296. Ziba Cooper⁹ BARTON (Hiram Elhanan Winchester⁸, Bazaleel⁷, Peter⁶, Bezaleel⁵, Samuel⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in South Reading, Windsor, VT November 1845. Ziba died 4 July 1907 in Tilton, Belknap, NH, at 61 years of age.⁽¹⁸⁵¹⁾ His body was interred 5 July 1907 in Newport, Sullivan, NH.

He married Mary Ann SHUTIFF 1 June 1869 in Chester, Windsor, VT.⁽¹⁸⁵²⁾ Mary was born December 1847. Mary was the daughter of Jefferson SHUTTIFF and Sarah WOODS. Mary died 18 November 1918 in Waterbury, Washington, VT, at 70 years of age.

Ziba served in the military August 1862. Ziba was listed as the head of a family on the 1870 Census in Winchester, Cheshire, NH. Ziba was listed as the head of a family on the 1890 Census in Tilton, Belknap, NH. Ziba was listed as a lodger living with Ervin SMITH's household on the 1900 Census in Tilton, Belknap, NH. In 1870 he was working at a wollen mill in Winchester and living in a large boarding house.Ziba ended his days at the NH Old Soldiers Home. He is enumerated in the veteran's schedule for 1890 at Tilton. He served in Company I of the 14th NH Infantry for 2years 11 months and 8 days. He was wounded in the war by a gunshot in the chest.

3689 i. Etta Blanche¹⁰ BARTON was born in Manchester, Hillsborough, NH about 1872. She married Phillip LUCIA 24 June 1890 in Hartford, Windsor, VT. Phillip was born about 1872 in South Reading, Windsor, VT.

3690 ii. Effie Maude BARTON was born 20 October 1873. Effie died 20 August 1877 in Chester, Windsor, VT, at 3 years of age.⁽¹⁸⁵³⁾
