228. Jonathan⁶ BARTON (Samuel⁵, Samuel⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹)⁽²⁶⁵⁾ was born in Sutton, Worcester, MA January 12, 1758.⁽²⁶⁶⁾ Jonathan died 31 March 1831 in New Berlin, Chenango, NY, at 73 years of age.

He married Mary WILLARD 1 November 1781 in Canaan, Litchfield, CT. Mary was born 19 March 1757 in Canaan, Litchfield, CT. Mary died 20 February 1835 at 77 years of age.

He was baptized 29 June 1760 in Sutton, Worcester, MA. Jonathan was listed as the head of a family on the 1810 Census in Jericho, Chenango, NY. The marriage and death records come from a pedegree file on the LDS website. Jonathan applied for a revolutionary war pension in 1818 in Banbridge, Chenango, NY and was 60 in 1820.

Jonathan BARTON and Mary WILLARD had the following children:

+ 475 i. Jerusha⁷ BARTON was born 10 August 1783.

476 ii. Aby BARTON was born in CT 20 October 1785. She married Rubin PALMER.

+ 477 iii. Ezra BARTON was born 27 July 1787.

478 iv. Emma BARTON was born in Canaan, Litchfield, CT 10 April 1790.

+ 479 v. Hannah BARTON was born 23 May 1792.

480 vi. Amma BARTON was born in CT 2 June 1794. He married Phila POPE.

He resided in Columbus, Adams, Il 1844.

481 vii. Peggy BARTON was born in CT 6 July 1797.
