38. Ebenezer⁴ BARTON (Ebenezer³, William², Edward¹) was born in Newbury, Essex, MA April 1718.⁽²⁸⁾ Ebenezer died 1782 in Chichester, Merrimack, NH, at 64 years of age.

He married Margaret HUNT June 23, 1741 in Newbury, Essex, MA. Margaret died after 1781.

He made a will 16 August 1781 in Chichester, Merrimack, NH. Ebenezer had his will probated 1782 in Exeter, Rockingham, NH.⁽²⁹⁾ Ebenezer is described in probate records as a Yeoman of Chichester. He served as Epsom constable in 1754 and as selectman in 1758. He owned land on both sides of the Pittsfield line. His will mentions wife Margaret, sons William and Josiah and daughters Sarah Marston and Hannah.

Ebenezer BARTON and Margaret HUNT had the following children:

+ 75 i. William⁵ BARTON was born April 5, 1754.

+ 76 ii. Sarah BARTON was born September 30, 1756.

+ 77 iii. Josiah BARTON was born January 21, 1759.

+ 78 iv. Hannah BARTON was born August 17, 1762.
