Cleon died May 21, 1980 in Boscawen, Merrimack, NH, at 67 years of age.⁽²⁴⁷⁷⁾ His body was interred May 24, 1980 in Concord, Merrimack, NH.⁽²⁴⁷⁸⁾

He married Mildred Josephine LASSONDE 14 February 1939. Mildred was born 18 August 1920 in Redding, MA. Mildred was the daughter of Edward STAFFORD and Edna LASSOND. Mildred died 4 September 2009 in Concord, Merrimack, NH, at 89 years of age.

Cleon is listed as a stepson in Alfred GLAMEND's household in the 1930 census in Concord, Merrimack, NH. The following individuals are also linked to this event: Mabel Z. HARTFORD (wife); Maynard Ray BARTON (stepson). Cleon studied at the N. H. Institute of Arts and Sciences. In the 1930 census Cleon is called a radio/TV serviceman. Later searches indicate Cleon was an artist of some note. Millie's obituary mentions that the couple had 14 children.
