464. Hosea Ballou⁷ BARTON (Peter⁶, Bezaleel⁵, Samuel⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Croydon, Sullivan, NH March 5, 1812. Hosea died 20 September 1875 in Newport, Sullivan, NH, at 63 years of age.

He married twice. He married Sarah Catherine AUSTIN 17 December 1838 in Concord, Merrimack, NH.⁽⁶⁰⁴⁾ Sarah was born about 1818. Sarah died 21 November 1842 in Concord, Merrimack, NH, at 24 years of age. Her body was interred 1842 in Concord, Merrimack, NH. He married Frances Russell BROWN November 26, 1843 in Concord, Merrimack, NH. Frances was born 21 October 1823 in Concord, Merrimack, NH. Frances was the daughter of Cotton BROWN and Elizabeth Armit COLCORD. Frances died January 14, 1894 in Newport, Sullivan, NH, at 70 years of age. Hosea was a printer and farmer who moved from Croydon to Concord and then to his farm on the Goshen road in Newport in 1858.

1101 i. Catherine F.⁸ BARTON was born in Newport, Sullivan, NH September 11, 1844. Catherine died 10 September 1911 in Newport, Sullivan, NH, at 66 years of age.⁽⁶⁰⁵⁾ She married Martin V. B. CUTTS May 20, 1879 in Newport, Sullivan, NH.⁽⁶⁰⁶⁾ Martin was born 1 December 1832 in Newport, Sullivan, NH. Martin was the son of Reuben CUTTE and Mahitable CHENEY. Martin died 2 July 1924 in Newport, Sullivan, NH, at 91 years of age.⁽⁶⁰⁷⁾

1102 ii. William H. BARTON was born in Pembroke, Merrimack, NH May 25, 1846. William died December 29, 1916 in Gorham, Coos, NH, at 70 years of age.⁽⁶⁰⁸⁾ His body was interred January 1, 1917 in Mill Village, NH. He married twice. He married Georgianna A. LITTLE December 19, 1880 in Concord, Merrimack, NH.⁽⁶⁰⁹⁾ Georgianna was born about 1854 in Concord, Merrimack, NH. He married Mary Francis WIXON Henry 17 May 1901 in Goshen, Sullivan, NH.⁽⁶¹⁰⁾ Mary was born 11 June 1843 in Dennis Port, MA. Mary was the daughter of Samuel WIXON and Elvira FROST. Mary died 21 October 1920 in Penacook, NH, at 77 years of age.⁽⁶¹¹⁾ Conflicting evidence states that Mary was born 4 August 1879 in Dennis Port, MA. She had marriage banns published 10 May 1901 in Goshen, Sullivan, NH.

William was listed as the head of a family on the 1900 Census in Goshen, Sullivan, NH. William was a lumberman at his marriage to Georgianna. At his 2nd marriage both were widowed. At his death he was called a candymaker.

1103 iii. Charles A. BARTON was born in Newport, Sullivan, NH October 31, 1848.

1105 v. Adelia F. BARTON was born in Newport, Sullivan, NH April 17, 1854.

1106 vi. Mary E. BARTON was born in Unity, Sullivan, NH circa 1856. Mary died November 21, 1874 in Newport, Sullivan, NH, at 18 years of age.

+ 1107 vii. John C. BARTON was born December 25, 1859.

1108 viii. Nellie S. A. BARTON was born February 18, 1863. Nellie died 20 December 1919 in Haverhill, Sullivan, NH, at 56 years of age.⁽⁶¹²⁾ She married Fred G. KIMBALL August 13, 1886 in Newport, Sullivan, NH. Fred was born 1861 in Unity, Sullivan, NH. A census listed Fred as head of household 2 February 1920 in Haverhill, Grafton, NH.
