442. Cyrus⁷ BARTON (Benjamin⁶, Bezaleel⁵, Samuel⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Croydon, Sullivan, NH December 25, 1795.⁽⁵⁶¹⁾ Cyrus died February 17, 1855 in Loudon, Merrimack, NH, at 59 years of age.⁽⁵⁶²⁾ His body was interred 1855 in Concord, Merrimack, NH.

He married Hannah HALE June 25, 1829 in Keene, Cheshire, NH.⁽⁵⁶³⁾ Hannah was born 8 April 1805 in Alstead, Cheshire, NH. Hannah was the daughter of David HALE and Hannah EMERSON. Hannah died February 3, 1863 in Keene, Cheshire, NH, at 57 years of age.⁽⁵⁶⁴⁾ Hannah was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census in Croydon, Sullivan, NH. The following individuals are also linked to this event: Georgia H. BARTON (household member); Harriet A. FRENCH (household member); Hannah L (Hermine) BARTON (household member); Charles Frye BARTON (household member).

In the Census of Cyrus was listed as a head of household in Concord, Merrimack, NH. Cyrus was a publisher and political activist. He published the Claremont Spectator, NH Spectator, and NH Patriot. He also served as Registrar of Deeds for Sullivan County, was on the Electoral College in 1832, 1836 and 1840 and was a US Marshall for Concord in 1845 and president of the city council during that year. He died at Loudon while giving a political speech and fell into his opponents arms.

1053 i. George Sullivan⁸ BARTON was born in Concord, Merrimack, NH March 9, 1831.⁽⁵⁶⁵⁾ George died July 24, 1857 in Concord, Merrimack, NH, at 26 years of age. George was a lawyer.
