He married Eliza PERCIVAL 16 January 1842 in Vasselboro, Kennebec, ME. Eliza was born November 4, 1821 in Vasselboro, Kennebec, ME. Eliza was the daughter of Warren PERCIVAL and Betsey FAIRFIELD. Eliza died August 11, 1897 in Windsor, Kennebec, ME, at 75 years of age.⁽⁹⁸⁸⁾ She was listed as a household member of Rufus P. BARTON's house in the Census of in Windsor, Kennebec, ME. 1908 viii. Sumner P. BARTON was born in Windsor, Kennebec, ME 04 February 1855. Sumner died 20 November 1940 at 85 years of age. He married Etta C. GORHAM 24 September 1883 in Windsor, Kennebec, ME. Etta was born September 1859 in Bowdoinham, Sagadahoc, ME. Etta was listed as Sumner P. BARTON's wife on the 1900 Census in Windsor, Kennebec, ME.
