He married Sarah PIERCE 28 April 1808 in Vasselboro, Kennebec, ME. Sarah was born 27 November 1787 in Windsor, Kennebec, ME.⁽⁴²⁴⁾ Sarah was the daughter of Samuel PIERCE. Sarah died 9 October 1834 in Windsor, Kennebec, ME, at 46 years of age. She had marriage banns published 5 March 1808 in Vasselboro, Kennebec, ME. On page 53 is wriiten "...When Martha Ballard applied warmed tow to the neck of little Gideon Barton, she was doing more than asuaging pain, she was confirming the essential order of the universe..."

825 xi. Benjamin Franklin BARTON was born in Windsor, Kennebec, ME 26 December 1826. Benjamin died 30 December 1907 in Windsor, Kennebec, ME, at 81 years of age.⁽⁴³⁰⁾ He married Lydia M. HOBART May 1856 in Windsor, Kennebec, ME.⁽⁴³¹⁾ Lydia was born about 1831 in Wiscasset, ME. Lydia was the daughter of Seth HOBART.
