275. Titus Theodore⁶ BARTON (David⁵, Elisha (Elijah)⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Granby, Hampshire, MA February 17, 1766. Titus died October 31, 1827 in Ford's Ferry, IL, at 61 years of age.

He married Ruth HUSE July 31, 1794 in Methuen, Essex, MA.⁽³¹⁷⁾ Ruth was born May 9, 1769 in Methuen, Essex, MA. Ruth was the daughter of John HUSE and Nancy Ann WEBSTER. Ruth died November 10, 1853 in Jacksonville, Morgan, IL, at 84 years of age.

Titus was listed as the head of a family on the 1800 Census in Tewksbury, Middlesex, MA. Titus was a boy soldier in the Revolution, enlisting at the age of 14 and serving to the close of the war. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1790 and was ordained a minister on 11 Oct 1792 serving as paster of the Congregational Church of Tewksbury, MA until 1804 then at Fitchburg, MA through February of 1813. He removed to Hilham in Oldham County Tennessee in November of 1817 where he preached and practiced medicine until his death.

640 vi. Nancy Webster BARTON was born in Tewksbury, Middlesex, MA May 1803.⁽³²¹⁾ Nancy died 16 July 1803 in Tewksbury, Middlesex, MA, at less than one year of age.⁽³²²⁾

645 xi. Charles Backus BARTON was born in Fitchburg, Worcester, MA September 1, 1810. Charles died December 19, 1904 in Jacksonville, Morgan, IL, at 94 years of age. He married Martha HACKETT 1836. Martha was born circa 1812 in Thetford, VT.
