92. Bezaleel⁵ BARTON (Samuel⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Sutton, Worcester, MA July 26, 1722.⁽¹⁰⁵⁾ Bezaleel died June 17, 1775 in Charlestown, Middlesex, MA, at 52 years of age.

He married Phebe CARLTON April 30, 1747 in Sutton, Worcester, MA.⁽¹⁰⁶⁾ Phebe was born January 7, 1724/1725 in Andover, MA. Phebe was the daughter of John CARLTON and Hannah BARKER. He lived on his father's farm but later removed to Royalston where he and his brother are listed among the first settlers. He and his sons all served during the revolution with his death, it is said, coming at Bunker Hill. He advertised repudiation of any debts of his wife phebe on 16 May 1771 in the Boston Newsletter. This may indicate separation or divorce.

Bezaleel BARTON and Phebe CARLTON had the following children:

215 ii. Elizabeth BARTON was born in Sutton, Worcester, MA August 9, 1750.⁽¹⁰⁷⁾ She married Moses HUGHES April 20, 1769 in Sutton, Worcester, MA. Moses was born circa 1748.

She was baptized December 23, 1753 in Sutton, Worcester, MA.⁽¹⁰⁸⁾

+ 216 iii. Bazeleel BARTON was born June 4, 1754.

217 iv. Priscilla BARTON was born in Sutton, Worcester, MA before June 9, 1754 (chr. date). She was christened June 9, 1754 in Sutton, Worcester, MA. The following individuals are also linked to this event: Phebe CARLTON (mother); Bezaleel BARTON (father).

+ 218 v. Tabitha BARTON was born before August 15, 1756 (chr. date).

+ 219 vi. Benjamin BARTON was born April 21, 1758.

+ 220 vii. Rebecca BARTON was born April 18, 1760.

221 viii. Lydia BARTON was born CA 1762. Lydia died 11 JAN 1842 at 79 years of age.⁽¹⁰⁹⁾
