679. Samuel Hersey⁷ BARTON (Phinehas⁶, John⁵, Caleb⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Leicester, Worcester, MA December 24, 1782.⁽⁸²⁵⁾ Samuel died 12 August 1870 in Sophiasburgh, Ont, Canada, at 87 years of age.

He married Margaret BOURDETT 25 February 1819 in Sophiasburgh, Ont, Canada. Margaret was born about 1788. Margaret was the daughter of John BOURDETT. F is enumerated as head of household at in Sophiasburgh, Ont, Canada in the 1871 census. Margaret is a head of household in the 1871 Canadien census at Sophiasburg. Her ethnic origins are given as French but born in the US. Her religion is Wesleyan Methodist.

F is enumerated as head of household at in Sophiasburgh, Ont, Canada in the 1871 census. The line from Samuel down was sent to me by an unknown person and seems to be an FTM product. I cannot locate any sources for the data. Samuel appears in the 1871 Canadian census D sechedule indicating he died during the previous 12 months. His occupation was listed as Town Clerk in Sophiasburgh.

1648 iv. Ira B. BARTON was born in Demorestville, Ontario, Canada 4 November 1820. Ira died 6 February 1888 in Sophiasburgh, Ont, Canada, at 67 years of age. Ira's death was registered by Thomas B. G. Barton. He continued in his father's footsteps as town clerk and was an artist. His religion at death was recorded as Wesleyan Methodist.

1649 v. Stephen BARTON was born 9 November 1822. Stephen died 7 January 1887 in Sophiasburgh, Ont, Canada, at 64 years of age.

1650 vi. Thomas BARTON was born 3 March 1825.

1651 vii. Ann Eliza BARTON was born about 1830.
