284. Caleb⁶ BARTON (John⁵, Caleb⁴, Samuel³, Matthew², Edward¹) was born in Oxford, Worcester, MA December 17, 1756.⁽³⁴³⁾ Caleb died May 6, 1836 in Leicester, Worcester, MA, at 79 years of age.⁽³⁴⁴⁾ His body was interred in Leicester, Worcester, MA.⁽³⁴⁵⁾

He married twice. He married Martha UPHAM February 13, 1779 in Leicester, Worcester, MA. Martha was born September 5, 1758 in Leicester, Worcester, MA. Martha was the daughter of Samuel UPHAM,Jr and Martha POWERS. He married Betsey LAMB December 16, 1787 in Leicester, Worcester, MA. Betsey was born circa 1770. Betsey died 8 March 1853 in Leicester, Worcester, MA, at 82 years of age.⁽³⁴⁶⁾ Her body was interred in Leicester, Worcester, MA.⁽³⁴⁷⁾ She had marriage banns published November 22, 1787 in Leicester, Worcester, MA. Caleb is mentioned among the soldiers of the revolution and his 2nd wife Betsey in Worcester probate court file 4095 requested that she continue to receive his pension.
